Director Oliver Stone has announced plans to make a movie about President George W. Bush and has cast Josh Brolin in the lead.
"Bush" is set for production in April and will hit theaters in November - right at the moment that a new leader takes the White House.
Stone told Daily Variety that he'll make "a fair, true portrait" of Bush and will focus on his youth, his conversion to Christianity and his relationship with his dad, President George H. W. Bush.
"It will contain surprises for Bush supporters and his detractors," said Stone.
Brolin "has the same drive and charisma that Americans identify with Bush, who has some of that old-time movie-star swagger," said Stone.

Christian Bale is in talks to join Johnny Depp in "Public Enemies," director Michael Mann's Depression-era crime drama.
An adaptation of Bryan Burrough's book "Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-43," the Universal Pictures project follows the government's attempt to stop the criminals John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd. Depp is playing Dillinger.
Bale would play Melvin Purvis, who led the FBI's manhunt for Dillinger and captured more public enemies than any other agent in FBI history.
It was Purvis who uttered, "Stick 'em up, Johnny" when he confronted Dillinger outside Chicago's Biograph Theatre in 1934, moments before the gangster was shot dead by FBI agents. Ben Johnson played Purvis in the 1973 movie "Dillinger."
Production is due to start later this winter in Chicago and other Midwest locales. The job is not expected to conflict with Bale's commitment to play John Connor in the fourth "Terminator movie, "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins," which will follow "Enemies."
Bale will next be seen in this summer's Batman movie, "The Dark Knight."

A rep for Avril Lavigne tells Usmagazine.com the rocker is not expecting.
Citing an "insider," Canadian radio host Zack Taylor wrote, "Avril is a month-and-a-half pregnant and that her husband, Deryck Whibley has been telling all his friends that he's excited to be a father."
But the rocker's label rep says, "It's not true."
That doesn't mean she doesn't want kids. Lavigne has said she wants children "somewhere down the road."
She wed Whibley wed in July 2006 at a private estate in Montecito, California.

She has made threats, in the past, and recently in words such as ‘I should just drop off the face of the planet’ and ‘If I were dead…’” However, the source assures PageSix.com that Britney might only be a danger to herself and “has never made threats about hurting the boys.”
